Ya conocemos los nominados de la Academia Británica de las Artes Cinematográficas y la Televisión, o BAFTA. Los premios más prestigiosos del viejo continente no se han desmarcado de la tónica general de otras ceremonias. The Artist (12 nominaciones), El topo (11) y La invención de Hugo (9) parten como favoritas de una ceremonia que se celebrará el próximo 12 de Febrero. A estos grandes títulos se une Drive, que compite a Mejor Película y Mejor Director. El danés Nicolas Windign Refn ha completado una obra soberbia que, de haberse estrenado otro año, contaría con más papeletas para los Oscar.

La piel que habito, último filme de Pedro Almodóvar es la única representación española, al igual que el compositor de su música, Alberto Iglesias, quien es candidato por su labor en El topo. Por lo demás, ninguna sorpresa. Salvo que Criadas y señoras (The Help) haya sido nominada a Mejor Película.
